Day 1 Arusha to Central Serengeti
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha at 8 AM. You will then drive approximately 240 km to Serengeti National Park, a journey of about 6 hours.
The Serengeti, meaning “endless plains,” covers over 14,763 square kilometers and is home to the famous Big Five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard.
The central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, is rich in wildlife and features the Seronera River, attracting a variety of species. Enjoy a picnic lunch during a game drive en route, then settle into your accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 2&3 Central Serengeti
Spend two full days exploring the heart of the Serengeti. You may choose an early morning game drive at 6 AM or a later start with a full-day game drive beginning around 9 AM. Both options include a packed lunch.
The Seronera area offers exceptional opportunities to spot lions, leopards, and a variety of other wildlife, with the iconic Serengeti kopjes providing stunning scenery. Return to your lodge each evening for dinner and relaxation.
Day 4 Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast and a morning game drive in the Serengeti, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, surrounded by extinct volcanoes. The crater floor shelters about 30,000 animals, making it a prime location for wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight accommodation await you after arrival.
Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha
Start early with breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at around 6:30 AM for a 5-hour game drive. The crater’s 260 square kilometers of floor host abundant wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, black rhino, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions.
After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend back to the crater rim and drive approximately 4 hours to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
