7 Day Tanzania Serengeti Migration Group Joining Safari

Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park. Explore its baobab-dotted landscapes, seasonal river and wildlife-rich plains, with excellent opportunities for large elephant herds and predators, before continuing to the lodge in the late afternoon.

Travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park. Enter the vast Serengeti plains and continue with game viewing through the Seronera region, renowned for resident big cats and excellent year-round wildlife activity.

Begin with a morning game drive in Central Serengeti before travelling north through changing habitats. Continue as a game drive en route along the seasonal migration path toward the Mara River, then explore the Northern Serengeti during the afternoon and evening.

Dedicate the full day to the Northern Serengeti and Mara River ecosystem. Your driver-guide follows current herd movements and wildlife activity, allowing time to explore different areas of the northern plains and the predator-rich habitat surrounding the migrating wildebeest and zebras.

Enjoy another morning in the Northern Serengeti for a final opportunity to follow migration activity around the Mara River region. Later, travel south toward Central Serengeti and continue with afternoon and evening game drives through the wildlife-rich Seronera area.

Depart Central Serengeti early and travel toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a full game drive across grasslands, wetlands and forested areas in search of black rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo and other plains wildlife. Continue to Karatu in the evening.

Enjoy a relaxed morning at Tloma Lodge before departing at around 11:00 for Mto wa Mbu. Optional biking, tuk-tuk and village activities can be arranged before lunch. Afterwards, continue to Arusha, where the seven-day safari comes to an end.
