The Manor is a serene retreat set high in the Ngorongoro Highlands near Karatu, with sweeping views over the Mbulu Highlands and the edge of the Manyara Rift Wall. Just a 40-minute drive from Lake Manyara and less than two hours from the Ngorongoro Crater, The Manor’s elevated location (7,500 ft) brings cool, misty mornings in July and August, nurturing its lush, vibrant gardens.

Designed in Cape Dutch style, The Manor welcomes guests with an elegant entrance hall, a cozy lounge with a grand fireplace, a bar, and a piano. Dining can be enjoyed in the stylish dining room or on the open veranda overlooking the beautiful surroundings.

Accommodations include 20 rooms set in Cape Dutch cottages, each with two suites featuring private lounges separated from the bedrooms by double-sided fireplaces. Bathrooms are luxuriously equipped with clawfoot tubs, large showerheads, and heated floors.

Guests can enjoy various activities, from walking and mountain biking on the grounds to simply relaxing in the tranquil atmosphere.
